• SmallEiffel -0.78 Beta #3 or better

If you are interested in porting eXML to Visual Eiffel, please contact me. eXML should be running fine under Halstenbach Eiffel, although I have not tested it. If you try it, please let me know how it worked out.

Operating Systems

• Linux
• Windows

Various Unix variants should work fine as long as your Eiffel compiler, C compiler and expat support it. Please tell me if you have had success on any not listed platform. Sun Solaris and FreeBSD have been tested and worked without modification.

C Compiler

• Visual C++ 6 or better (see below for earlier versions)
• GCC

C Compilers other than listed should work fine, but have not been tested. Again please let me know about results with compilers not listed here. Visual C++ 5 is known to work, but you need to recompile expat yourself.

Libraries

• GOBO 1.6 or better
• UCSTRING (included in eXML)
